THE DANGEROUS LIVES OF ALTAR BOYS
FEATURE FILM ANIMATION

"The team's first choice for the animation director was Todd, he's the best in his field and that's who we wanted to work with on the film." -- Peter Care.

The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys is a full-length feature film released in the summer of 2002. Based on the 1992 debut novel by Chris Fuhrman, this coming-of-age drama was directed by Peter Care and starred Kieran Culkin, Jena Malone, Jodie Foster, Emile Hirsch and Vincent D'Onofrio.

The R-rated independent film -- distributed by ThinkFilm and produced by Foster's Egg Pictures - features nearly 20 minutes of animation produced by Todd McFarlane and Todd McFarlane Entertainment.

The main characters are budding comic book artists and the comic-style animation is used as a storytelling device to further the film's plot.
