Years in planning and construction have come down to this: The McFarlane Companies is hosting a Grand-Opening event of its new McFarlane Toys Store in Tempe, AZ, on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meet Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, artist Greg Capullo and toy designer Ed Frank making their first-ever appearance together for one day only. This special mini-section of spawn.com will stay live until the Oct. 16th event and is your official source of all the latest information on the opening-day festivities. We'll update with new info as we get it.
Oct. 16 will be a Spawn fan's dream and we invite our collectors from around the world to join Todd and the rest of the gang on this special day. Here's a highlight of the events we have planned:

Autograph session, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For Spawn fans, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet three of the most influential and creative minds behind the toys and comic books you love.

Tour the new McFarlane Toys Showroom Custom-built sets showcase prototypes of our upcoming action figure lines, including Spawn, sports, monsters, music and film figures, and more. The showroom walls are decorated with a wide array of memorabilia including many items straight from Todd McFarlane's personal collection.

|
Giveaways Comics, stickers and other prizes will be given away throughout the day.

City & Local Maps Two maps are available. The city map shows how to get to McFarlane Toys from the Phoenix area. The local map highlights various restaurants, hotels and other attractions near the showroom, as well as rental car information. The maps are in PDF format, and require Adobe's Acrobat Reader to view or print.

The new showroom/store is located at 8945 South Harl, Suite 112, Tempe, AZ, just east of the I-10 freeway. Refer to the linked maps above for better directions. Weather Information Many of you may be coming to the Phoenix metro area for the first time. Mid-October is a beautiful time to visit Arizona. Generally speaking, you will find an average high temperature in mid-October around 90 degrees with overnight lows in the low to mid-60s. The forecast high for this Saturday is 93. Please be sure to bring appropriate clothes for the climate. Note: The Arizona sun is very strong; those with sensitive skin should bring sunblock for protection.

Thursday and Friday, October 14 and 15, we will be closed for Grand Opening preparations. After the Grand Opening, starting Monday, October 18, the showroom hours will be extended:
