Check Out the, Nitro Records Toy/CD Giveaway

Free stuff is always good, but even better during the holidays. That's why, the prize patrol hooked up with Nitro Records and the band AFI (A Fire Inside) to give away signed Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty figures in a contest that runs through Monday, Dec. 24.

If you're looking to get your hands on one of the highly sought-after MGS 2 figures, and you're into punk rock or even if you're not, click on

There will be six winners chosen randomly at exactly noon Pacific time, Dec. 24. Each winner will receive one Metal Gear Solid 2 figure signed by Todd, plus a signed CD copy of AFI's current album, The Art of Drowning.

According to the January 2002 issue of Alternative Press magazine, "AFI's music conjures images of a mosh pit in a cemetery, where ghoulish punks stir it up on the graves of Jane's Addiction and the Misfits." The magazine also lists AFI's upcoming album in "Fast-Forward: A.P.'s Guide to the Best of 2002."

Contest winners will be notified by e-mail on Christmas eve, but the product won't ship until January, so you may have to break down and buy that Chia Pet® after all. And, don't forget to check out the Web feature on MGS2 at
