McFarlane Fights Lou Gehrig's Disease
Charity Auction Raises Nearly $10,000 for ALSA
November 5th, 1999
"The McFarlane Collection Charity Auction," held to benefit The ALS Association, the only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease, raised nearly $10,000 during its nine day run, ending October 27. The auction, held on Yahoo!, featured more than 40 collectible items from McFarlane Toys, sports teams, and Maurice Lacroix, a watch designer. Some of the highest bids went for a watch, an Oakland Athletics getaway, as well as some highly sought after McFarlane Toys autographed by Todd, including an Austin Powers 18" Mini Me, a set of Movie Maniacs II figures, and KISS Psycho Circus figures.
