NEW YORK COMIC-CON WRAP-UP
Plus, a Contest to Win Limited-edition Signed Books!

It was another nine-day workweek for a lucky few McFarlane Toys employees, as they braved the convention floor last weekend at the second annual New York Comic-Con, in the frozen Mecca of New York City.

Conventions always tend to be a great time, and this one was no different. We witnessed great fan reactions to our always-popular prototypes. Among the new products on display were some of our upcoming McFarlane's Dragons Series 6 (final photography of this assortment has been released today check it out here), and the cold-hearted Snowman from our McFarlane's Monsters Twisted Christmas series. These items, along with the other products previewed had fans begging for more.

Comic fans were able to get a sneak peek at upcoming TMP titles, Spawn: Godslayer #1, Spawn #165 and the Art of Greg Capullo hardcover. The diehard and newly acquainted Spawn fans got a treat on Saturday in the form of autograph signings.

Spawn's new artist and editor-in-chief, Brian Haberlin sat down beside Spawn writer David Hine to sign some show-exclusive lithographs printed just for this convention. They both took time to answer fan questions and show off some original art from upcoming issues. Sketches were also done for the majority of the time.

The Adventures of Spawn creative team sat down behind the table later on that day - writer Jonathan David Goff and artist Khary Randolph managed to clear their busy schedules to offer up some autographs and sketches for the fans. Along with the signing, we gave away complimentary copies of The Adventures of Spawn #1.

Capping off both Friday and Saturday at the convention - McFarlane Toys' booth had their patented prize raffle - with some lucky winners getting their hands on some original Spawn artwork from Brian Haberlin, a preview copy of the Art of Greg Capullo hardcover, and, of course, TOYS.

If you missed us, be sure to try and stop by any of our upcoming events. We always want to talk to fans - new and old. Check out our events page for more information of when we may be attending a convention/trade show near you.
