Another exclusive -- Spawn i.098 from Spawn Series 24 -- has come and gone through the online McFarlane Toys Collector's Club Store at spawn.com. Selling out its entire production run in just six days, it was one of the fastest-selling exclusives in the history of the Club.
This capping off a year of other incredibly popular exclusive pieces, including Stealth Predator and the Flying Monkeys from the Twisted Land of Oz series.
The year is winding down, but we've still got a couple of things coming in 2003.
The re-supply of Oz Monkeys is about a month out and they're still available -- while they last -- at the Store.
A re-supply of the ever-popular NBA Backboard is coming later in November in conjunction with the retail release of McFarlane's Sports Picks: NBA Series 5.
A limited supply of the upcoming NHL 12-inch action figures Mario Lemieux and Patrick Roy (in both Canadiens and Avalanche unis). These are due to hit around the same time as in Canada for American customers through the Store at spawn.com (the only source for this item in the U.S.). Look for these in late November/early December.
A new supply of figure stands, this time in clear (vs. the normal black) as polled on our Club message board. Likely available in December.
Oh, and 2004? Ah, yes. We do have some nice surprises coming in the new year. Don't expect any beans to be spilled in this space. Suffice it to say, we'll have some Spawn stuff, some sports stuff and several exclusives from other lines all scheduled. Should be a good year for Club collectors.
Oh, and we are working on another redesign of the Store at spawn.com. This time, though, not only will it receive a new look, it will have a myriad of functional improvements as we're outsourcing the bandwidth, which should reduce some of the server overload users experience. More details on this in the coming weeks.
