McFarlane Toys was proud to partner with Southwest Airlines and the NBA for a slam-dunk contest. Grand prize included a trip to the 2009 NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix on Feb. 15, plus tickets to the game, airfare on Southwest Airlines, and two nights of hotel accommodations.

Grand prize winner Sheila Lockhart of Orlando, Fla. and her son, Marlon, enjoyed the VIP treatment at this celebrity-studded event.

"The highlight for both of us was the All Star Game," says Lockhart. "We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the game, pre-game, entertainment during commercial breaks, seeing the players we love, and of course, seeing all the celebrities who were there.

"The trip was special for my son and I because we were able to spend quality time together doing something he really enjoyed, and creating memories for us both, as he is graduating from high school in May and will be heading off to college."

In addition to the grand prize, 2nd prize went to Tom Tumbri of Cleveland, Ohio, who won a one-of-kind basketball hand-signed by the entire NBA rookie class of 2007. And 3rd prize winner Cassandra McDaniel of Brookville, Ind. scored one entire series of McFarlane Toys NBA action figures, autographed by Todd McFarlane himself.
