Several Different Beatles Action Figures Coming to Stores

The British are coming. The British are coming. Nah, it's not another American Revolution in the making. It's the Beatles. In action figure form. And lots of them all heading to a toy store shelf near you.

Let's run it down.

The first set to hit stores will be the Beatles Yellow Submarine refresh line. Based on the 1968 animated film, these figures were initially released by McFarlane Toys five years ago. In 2004, Beatles fans are still clamoring for these now hard-to-find figures, so we've repackaged and re-released them.

The new lineup:

Look for these in stores in mid-September.

Additionally, McFarlane Toys is releasing a Yellow Submarine deluxe boxed set. This one -- also to hit stores in mid-September -- features all four Beatles with the Yellow Submarine character. It's exclusive to Suncoast and Sam Goody stores.

Finally, McFarlane Toys is releasing a brand-new, never-before-seen set of Beatles action figures. The new line is based on the classic Beatles Cartoon series. Produced by King Features, the cartoon premiered in the U.S. in 1965 and ran for two immensely popular seasons. This line of figures is based on the Beatles' animated appearance in that series and includes, of course:The Beatles Cartoon series will show up in stores in early December.
