A Schedule of Todd's Whereabouts in New York

Next week is a busy one for Todd and the McFarlane Toys staffers. We'll be in the Big Apple for Comic-Con and for "Todd McFarlane: A Retrospective" at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (MoCCA).

If you're going to the Con and are hoping to meet Todd, here is his planned schedule:

Friday, Feb. 24
5pm to 6 pm: Todd McFarlane autograph signing in Room 1E03
Signing limited to two autographed items per person.

Saturday, Feb. 25
11am to 12pm: Todd McFarlane autograph signing in Room 1E03
Spawn artists signing: The classic story of a man's battle with evil forces continues to forge new story line frontiers and remains one of the most popular comic books today. Come meet Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and new Spawn artist Philip Tan.

3pm to 5pm: Todd McFarlane Panel: Time Trippin' with Todd McFarlane and Friends in the Special Events Hall
Hear the latest about all the ongoing McFarlane projects including the latest comic, toy and animation news from Todd himself in a lively discussion. Todd will be joined by Spawn editor-in-chief, Brian Haberlin, Spawn penciler Philip Tan, and making his first Comic-Con appearance in more than 10 years, legendary Spawn artist and Creech creator, Greg Capullo.

5pm to 7pm: Panel Signing in Room 1E03
Immediately following the panel, join Todd, Philip and Greg for an autograph signing with free panel exclusive, limited-edition signing plate. Autographed items limited to one signing plate and one outside item per person.

Todd McFarlane: A Retrospective -- New York Museum Exhibit
MoCCA will host "Todd McFarlane: A Retrospective," from Feb. 25 through May 1. The multimedia retrospective exhibit showcasing Todd's art and career will feature original artwork and artifacts including original comic art pages, animation cels, character designs and layouts, as well as toy designs and prototypes from the McFarlane Companies archives.

Todd will personally appear at the opening reception for the exhibit, which begins at 8pm on Saturday, Feb. 25, at MoCCA's SoHo gallery. Tickets for the opening may be purchased at MoCCA's NY Comic-Con booth (#114 -- conveniently located right next to McFarlane Toys booth #116).

Todd will also appear in person at a special private preview on Friday, Feb. 24. Although this event is only open to professionals, exhibitors, and other trade attendees of NYComic-Con, Reed Exhibitions has generously set aside 50 free tickets for the general public, available for the first 50 fans who sign up at MoCCA's NY Comic-Con booth. Spawn #1 in 3D for Sale at NY Comic-Con
A special New York Comic-Con limited-edition 3D version of Spawn issue #1 was created exclusively for the 2006 McFarlane retrospective at MoCCA.

Written and drawn by Todd, this 32-page book has a cover price of $5.95 and includes red/blue 3D glasses! This special book will be available as a Donor Premium (in recognition of donations of $6 or more) from MoCCA beginning Feb. 24 at their NY Comic-Con booth, and at the MoCCA Gift Shop during the run of the McFarlane retrospective exhibit, while supplies last. Proceeds benefit MoCCA.
