Celebrated Video Honored for Animation
Friday, May 11, 2007
Todd McFarlane Entertainment is pleased to announce the acceptance of Disturbed's "Land of Confusion" into three prominent film festivals. Directed by Todd McFarlane and produced by Terry Fitzgerald, the music video runs just under five minutes and features traditional 2D cell animation combined with 3D computer generated backgrounds and vehicles. All were rendered in 2D to match the 2D characters. Photographs of world famous landmarks were manipulated on computers to achieve a style that closely matched the 2D foreground animation. The final piece was rendered in 1080p high definition with Flame added special effects.
The Boston International Film Festival, which takes place June 6 through June 13 in Boston, MA, features "Land of Confusion" in the Independent Animation category. Dedicated to rewarding creative expression, the festival focuses on showcasing experimental yet artistic films.
In late April, the Nashville Film Festival and the Aarhus Independent Film Festival in Denmark took place, showing "Land of Confusion" in the Animation and Short Film categories respectively.
Todd McFarlane Entertainment looks forward to the inclusion of the video in other film festivals throughout 2007.
