'Best Geek Store,' Says

"McFarlane Toys is a Mecca of geekdom."

So says, which has named our Tempe toy store and showroom "Best Geek Store" in its 1st Annual BEST Readers' Choice Awards. Readers are invited to nominate and vote for their favorite people, businesses and establishments in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

"The store, in an office complex across the street from IKEA, is the public face of comic artist and baseball collector Todd McFarlane's toy empire. In addition to selling the latest McFarlane toys, some at deep discounts, the store is a museum of McFarlane action figures, with huge displays of his creations, from Spawn and Alien to the NFL.

"You won't see the Mark McGwire baseball, but you can see plenty of other memorabilia from McFarlane's collection, including autographed concert posters and baseball jerseys. There's even a chance that McFarlane may be wandering the store, giving autographs to fans."

AZCentral is Arizona's most visited local Web site, attracting more than 54 million page views per month.

The people have spoken. We here at McFarlane Toys welcome not only geeks to our store, but people of all walks of life looking for a very cool place to spend some time and pick up some action figures.

Our new flagship retail store located at the Westgate City Center in Glendale, Ariz. is scheduled to open this summer. (To read more about it, go here.)

Things are progressing nicely, and today we've got a sneak peek of the latest development -- the McFarlane signs have been installed.

The Westgate store promises to be more than just a place to pick up action figures. It will be a shopping destination. Keep it tuned to for updates as they become available.
