TOY FAIR 2001 ... ONLINE AND ON FIRE

Even Bigger Spectacle at Spawn.com This Year

February 9, 2001

The time is drawing close, Toy Fair 2001 is but a couple days away. Across the country, McFarlane employees are sculpting, painting, assembling showroom dioramas, taking photos, writing last-minute press releases and getting very little sleep in preparation for McFarlane Toys' presence in New York City.

But since the vast majority of McFarlane fans can't attend Toy Fair, the crack Spawn.com team is working behind the scenes to bring the depth and breadth of the Toy Fair experience to your computer screen.

Spawn.com will be THE spot on the Net for coverage of McFarlane Toys.

Beginning the morning of Monday, Feb. 12, the Toy Fair section of Spawn.com will go live. Highlights will include a complete online catalog showing all our action figure lines for 2001, a temporary Message Board, a virtual tour of our New York City showroom, areas to vote for your favorite figures, virtual reality object movies of key figures from our most prominent toy lines and live reports from the showroom.

We'll also be featuring special events coverage, including the Shrek press conference with Mike Myers and DreamWorks head Jeffrey Katzenberg, and a special appearance by Clive Barker to promote the incredible new Clive Barker's Tortured Souls action figures.

The virtual tour of McFarlane Toys' infamous Manhattan showroom lets you see the entire layout without having to fight the crowds.

The real centerpiece of our Toy Fair extravaganza, though, is the online catalog. Here you'll find more than 200 pages dedicated to McFarlane Toys' entire 2001 action figure lineup.

As an added bonus, the Spawn.com staffers have hidden two "Easter Eggs" somewhere within the 2001 catalog. Mousing over these hidden eggs will lead you to bonus pictures you won't find anywhere else.

Also, Spawn.com will be holding a contest to win a piece of Toy Fair memorabilia. No, the prize won't be a two-up figure, but we'll find a cool, authentic piece of Toy Fair and hold a contest to give it away. Check back later this month for the contest.

Make sure to head to Spawn.com on Feb. 12 for our Toy Fair extravaganza.
