World Network Broadcast Premiere of Spawn on Fox, Thursday, March 22

March 16, 2001

March may have come in like a lion, but it's going to Hell on March 22, when the Spawn live-action movie will have its world network broadcast premiere nationwide on Fox television.

That's right, the Spawn movie, originally released in 1997 by New Line Cinema, will be broadcast on Fox, at 8 PM ET/PT. As they say, please check local listings.

Starring Michael Jai White (Spawn), John Leguizamo (Clown) and Martin Sheen (Jason Wynn), the movie is adapted from the Spawn comic book and details Al Simmons' Faustian deal with the devil. Other cast members include: Theresa Randle as Wanda Blake; Nicol Williamson as Cogliostro; D.B. Sweeny as Terry Fitzgerald; Mindy Clarke as Jessica Priest; Miko Hughes as Zack; Sydni Beaudoin as Cyan and Michael Papajohn as Glen.

After the movie, watch your local Fox news for an interview with Todd McFarlane. Todd spent time with a reporter from the Phoenix Fox affiliate earlier this month talking about the movie, his comic book career, Spawn, toys and sports. Parts of that interview are scheduled to air on several affiliates across the country. At the time of this writing, however, details were unavailable as to when and where it will air. However, it is expected to be available at least in the top 20 news markets in the country. Translated: if you live in one of the 20 largest U.S. cities, you should be able to view it for sure.
