Third Straight Best Company Award from 'Toy Fare'

January 18, 2002

McFarlane Toys notched several spots in the fourth annual Toy Fare magazine Best of the Best story, which appears in the March 2002 edition. McFarlane figures won:

  • Best Paint Application of 2001, for Samurai Spawn from Series 19.

  • Best Adaptation for 2001, Princess Fiona from our Shrek assortment.

  • Best Playset or Vehicle for 2001, Kaneda with Motorcycle from
McFarlane's 3D Animation from Japan, Series II.

  • Best Sculpting for 2001, Lucidique from Clive Barker's Tortured Souls.

  • Best Likeness for 2001, James Hetfield from Metallica.

And, perhaps best of all, McFarlane Toys earned the Best Company award for the third year running. Thanks, Toy Fare.

McFarlane Toys also won a Readers' Award from Toy Shop magazine for best small-scale action figure for Gingerbread Man from Shrek.

We were awarded with a Golden Toy Award from Lee Publications for Best Action Figure Playset for the Jaws deluxe boxed set from Movie Maniacs 4.

Finally, McFarlane's Sports Picks were voted one of the Top 10 hobby stories of 2001 by Sports Collectors Digest.

As always, we're amazed and honored to receive so many awards. Thanks to everyone involved, but mostly the fans for their continued support.
