McFarlane Booth Features Display on Making of Action Figures

June 28, 2002

As announced last week on, Todd McFarlane will be in Milwaukee on July 5-6, during the John Hancock All-Star FanFest at the Midwest Express Center, to talk baseball, host his weekly radio show and promote McFarlane's Sports Picks baseball collectible figures.

The McFarlane Toys booth, located in The Making of the Game attraction from July 5-9, will feature seven interactive stations displaying the action figure development process. Demonstrations of "How to Make a Baseball Action Figure" will occur throughout FanFest, on the hour and half-hour; each show will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

At the booth, fans can see rare figure prototypes, also known as "two-ups," along with packaged products. Attendees can enter to win McFarlane's Sports Picks baseball figures through an exclusive promotion available only at FanFest.

The two-up "All-Star" team on display will include: Ichiro, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Sammy Sosa and Randy Johnson from Series 1; Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr. and Derek Jeter from Series 2; and Adam Dunn and Curt Schilling from Series 3.

Additionally, Todd will host "meet and greet" sessions at the booth on Friday, July 5 from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., and on Saturday, July 6 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Todd's new weekly MLB Radio show, The Todd McFarlane Show, will broadcast live from FanFest. Todd and co-host Seth Everett will be at the MLB Radio booth from 3 to 4 p.m. central time, which is one hour later than the show normally airs.
