Sheffield has played for Milwaukee, San Diego, Florida, Los Angeles and Atlanta, but it wasn't until he signed a free agent deal with the Yankees that he truly found a home. He filled a right field hole left by the retirement of Yankee legend Paul O'Neill, and immediately became the favorite son of the "Bleacher Creatures" that dwell beyond the fence. Sheffield has earned an All-Star slot in each of his seasons as a Yankee, but his ultimate championship goal has eluded him thus far. With a loaded lineup, 2006 could be the year Sheffield and the Yankees return to the Promised Land.
