San Diego Chargers TE: Gates hadn't played competitive football since high school, and his NBA prospects coming out of Kent State weren't thrilling, so he knocked on the door of the San Diego Chargers and announced that he could play some football. He wasn't kidding. Gates caught 10 touchdown passes in each of his first two seasons, and in 2006 he leads all tight ends in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns.
