Austin Powers has become a pop culture institution. "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" and "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" made more than $300 million between them in the United States alone and introduced America to an entire lexicon of slang: yeah, baby; shagadelic; crikey; mojo, you get the picture. McFarlane Toys' first line of Austin Powers action figures in 1999 offered a new direction for the company as well: a fun, light-hearted take on a series of film icons. For 2000, McFarlane Toys teleports back to the swingin' '60s for another go-round with the illustrious brown-toothed sleuth and his crew. And, like last time, they've all got voice chips. |
